
Our teen challenge is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles under the modern day teens by introducing fun, exciting fitness challenges such as obstacle courses, individual events as well as events that incorporate certain cross fit-like components, team challenges and much more!

Our challenges combine Bodyweight, Strength, Agility, Speed, Co-ordination and Neuromuscular Skills. Teens will compete both against themselves and each other, improving their own personal records each year. Teen Fitness Challenge winners will be crowned and amazing prizes will be awarded.
Arnold Classic Qualifying events will be held in Cape Town, KZN and Gauteng. Dates and venues will be announced by the end of May 2015.
Trainers will have the opportunity to qualify to become certified Xtyle Fitness Teen Challenge Trainers by attending workshops in these areas.
Athletes can also nominate their trainer for the annual trainer of the year award.
Xtyle Fitness and the Teen Fitness Challenge promotes anti-drug abuse and anti-bullying in all educational institutions.
All information on the challenge will be sent out by the end of May 2015 – trainers can contact us with their email addresses to receive the information personally as soon as it has been released.
Friday:
10am - 10 to 12year old Fitness Course
11:30am - 13 to 15year old Fitness Course
1pm - 16 to 19year old Fitness Course
2:30pm - 10 to 12 year old Team Challenge
3:30pm - 13 to 15year old Team Challenge
5pm - 16 to 19year old Team Challenge
Saturday:
1pm - 10 to 12 year old individual events
2pm - 13 to 15 year old individual events
4pm - 16 to 19 year old individual events
5:30pm - Disabled Athletes (if any)
Our Qualifying Events Dates:
- Cape Town: 23 April 2016
- KZN: 30 April 2016
- Gauteng: 14 May 2016
- 3km run (at qualifying events) 5km run at final event
- 4 combination events (a combination event is a combination of 4 different exercises, the competitor will have to complete a certain amount of repetitions of each exercise before moving on to the next one. He or she will do as many sets of the combination as possible in a certain allocated time)
- 2 individual events (an individual event is a single exercise the competitor will have to do for as long as he or she can. Depending on the type of exercise, either the amount of repetitions will be counted in a certain allocated time, or the exercise will be timed to test the competitor's endurance)
- Fitness Course (this is a type of obstacle course consisting of purely fitness, endurance and basic strength exercises. The competitor will have to complete a certain number of repetitions of one exercise before moving on to the next exercise. The competitor will be timed and will have to complete this course as fast as possible)
If competitors enter for the team fitness challenge (4 athletes per team), the entire team will be required to successfully complete the following:
- Fitness Course (this is a type of obstacle course consisting of purely fitness, endurance and basic strength exercises. Each competitor will have to complete a certain number of repetitions of one exercise before tagging their team mate to do the same exercise. The entire team have to complete one station before moving on to the next station. The team will be timed and will have to complete this course as fast as possible)
