
The Arnold Classic Africa Throwdown is an event that forms part of the Arnold Classic Africa Sports Festival which is an annual multisport event celebrating numerous sporting codes. It is named after the legendary professional body-builder, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The inaugural event to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre promises a Sport Festival like no other in South Africa.
The Arnold Classic Africa will bring to Johannesburg an expected 30,000 attendees across a wide range of sporting codes, coaches, families and supporters, 10,000 athletes of which at least 5,000 are expected to be youth athletes.
The EXPO promises to deliver one of the largest annual gatherings of committed fitness enthusiasts on the African continent. Making this the premier SPORT marketing event of its kind
The mission of this throwdown is to bring together the CrossFit community from all over the country to compete for the title fittest individual and team in South Africa.
The programming for this event will cater for both advance and intermediate athletes (RX and Scale)
The ACAT will be running over the period of three days 27-29 May 2016 and the program will consist of the following:
Friday 27 May 2016: Workshops and some Open Wods for ACAT entered athletes.
Saturday 28 May 2016: Individual competition will include 3 x Wods (40 RX athletes and 40 Scaled athletes)
Sunday 29 may 2016: Teams consisting of 3 members and includes 3 x Wods (40 RX teams and 30 Scaled teams).
R450 per individual.
R450 per each Team member.

Free entry to the Arnold Classic event/expo for the entire duration 27;28;29 May 2016.
