
The South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) is the governing body for gymnastics in the geographic bounds of South Africa.
The SAGF governs 9 disciplines: Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics which includes Tumbling, Aerobic Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Rope Skipping, Gym for All, and Schools Gymnastics. SAGF is affiliated to the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), the African Gymnastic Union (UAG, Sports and Recreation South Africa (SRSA) and the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC).
The Arnold Classic Africa will see participation from the gymnastics disciplines of Acrobatic and Aerobic Gymnastics. The Acrobatic Gymnastics Competition will take place on Saturday, 28th May 2016. The Aerobic Gymnastics Competition will take place on Sunday, 29th May 2016.
The Aerobic Gymnastics is the ability to perform continuous, complex, high intensity movement patterns to music. Aerobic Gymnasts require great strength, co-ordination, flexibility and explosive power to perform the high energy routine.
The Aerobic Gymnastics Competition will comprise of levels 1 & 2. Approximately 100 gymnasts will participate in this competition.

Competition (1st Session) 10.30am 12.30 pm
Lunch 12.30 to 13.15 pm
Competition (2nd Session) 13.30pm to 15.30pm
Prize-giving Medal Ceremony 4pm (4 Gold, 4 Silver, 4 Bronze)
