"South African Strict Arm Curl Federation was started in South Africa in 2015 by Gary Katzen, Juan Meyer and Mathew Cosmo, and has gained wide popularity in the powerlifting, strongman, weightlifting, bodybuilding, fitness industry, the general public, as well as the South African youth.  The sport is being revived by WPC powerlifting under Zane Ison. 
 
We have successfully held two Arnold Classic Africa Strict Arm Curl events in both 2016 & 2017 with several athletes achieving national and world records. Athletes participated from South Africa, the rest of Africa, and several countries from around the world. 
 
We cater for both male and female athletes, as well as disabled athletes. There are several different weight and age categories. Starting from teenagers 13 years of age, all the way up to master lifters 80 years plus. 
 
Our motto is integrity, and fair play.
 
We invite all sporting codes, and the general public to come and take part or watch your favourite athletes compete in this prestigious Arnold Classic Africa Strict Arm Curl Event to be held on 19 May 2023  at Ruimsig Stadium Roodepoort, Johannesburg.
