What is Gym for all? - 4X4 Fitness Program

The South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF) designed a new functional fitness program called 4 x 4 Fitness. The 4 x 4 fitness program is a fast way of keeping fit and takes less than 10 minutes/day.

We would like you to share your photos/videos of the day and reward the best participation with a certificate, which will be sent to you after the event.

This program focuses on the following 4 elements

  • Cardiovascular
  • Strength ( Upper Body )
  • Strength ( Legs )
  • Strength ( Abs/core )

 

Gymnastics at the Arnold Classic

The gymnastics disciplines which will be competing at the Arnold Classic will be those of Acrobatic Gymnastics, Rope skipping and Gym for All.

In addition, these gymnasts including an Aerobic and Rhythmic gymnasts will partake in various activations.

Friday info session and public interaction 09:00 – 15:00

Friday

School Development Program ( 09H00 - 13H00 )

Public participation - 14H00 to 18H00 (Gym for All)

Fitness Challenge Public Participation (14H00 - 18H00 )

 

Saturday

Rope Skipping Zonal Competition (09H00 - 17H00 )

 

Sunday

Acrobatic Team Competition ( 08H00 - 12H00 )

Gym for All ( 13H00 - 17H00 )

 

 

Can I enter and how do I enter:

Who?

  • Primary school children (6-12 years)
  • Senior Phase / High School (13-18 years)
  • Adults (19 – 49 years)
  • Seniors (50+)

 

Where?

  • In the class room / aftercare
  • At the school / sport field
  • At the office/ outdoor leisure
  • At home / recreational facility

 

How :

  • Register your institution/club, school with SA Gymnastics
  • Do each activity for 30 seconds. Once all 4 activities are complete, repeat the cycle 3 more times = 4 x 4
  • Share yours posts here at this 4X4 Fitness Day event, alternatively directly to our FB Page: www.facebook.com/SAGymnastics
  • Provide contact details, name, number of participants etc.
  • Send us a link to your video or share to our FB page
